Masked Compliance and a Forgotten God

On the 8th of April, 1966 Time Magazine, on their cover page, poised the question, "Is God Dead?"  I was only two at the time and had no notion of such an idea; God certainly wasn’t dead in the eyes of my parents or siblings.  Faith was always imbedded in our way of life and a precursor to all we hoped and strived for.

54 years later, what is the consensus of such a question today?  In my mind, no different than it was in 1966, as I’m certain it’s no different for a great many people.  Yet the number that would agree (if not wonder) has also greatly increased since 1966.

For many others however, God does not, nor ever has existed.  Faith is but a word that hinges on frailty and therefore has no consideration in the minds of many.  The belief in a Creator has little more meaning to them than myth or fantasy.  Many feel that only through the exalting of knowledge and learning that mankind can (and does) continue to acquire a more perfected life; or leads to such.  Reliance on successful achievements are placed, not upon faith in God, but upon the “wisdom” and “expertise” of other men and women; others whom are, generally speaking, totally unknown to us.

“…. When they are learned they think they are wise, and they hearken not unto the counsel of God, for they set it aside, supposing they know of themselves, wherefore, their wisdom is foolishness…” (2 Nephi 9:28)

Their reasoning being the faith in an unseen God, a Superior Being capable of Creation are concepts which do not fall inline of sight of what they see as reality; these concepts are out of sight of that which is seen.  Why put faith in that which is not seen?

But I, I would ask:  why put faith in men and women we do not know?  Others who, just like ourselves, will one day meet death and pass from this earth, just as potentially fallible as ourselves and just as mortal.  Why put faith in others who claim to be “expert” in their various fields of study and knowledge but can’t fully understand nor explain just how you, your body, your life… is even possible.  As much as they have studied and continue to study, they still have yet to fully understand, as do all of us, how the human body is so adapt to correcting it’s own dysfunctions; it’s capacity to heal and repair it’s self.  An enormous amount of time, money and energy has been spent on trying to comprehend just how the mind works and it tis but a small fraction of our minds that we use.

One need only have a look back on history to see where reliance on human knowledge - rather than the source of knowledge it’s self, God – has lead to the eventual and total destruction of civilizations.  Forget Whom created all things and you can forget advancing yourself (or anyone else).  Forget from whence Life it’s self originated and you can look forward to death eternal.  Forget to what source your health, life and prosperity come from and you’ll loose all you have ever obtained.

If, with the faith of a mustard seed, a mountain can be moved by the power of a Celestial Father in Heaven, if a deadly bite from a “fiery serpent” can be cured by a simple look in a particular direction….  How is it not so that, by and through faith, our health can not be cared for and we be given all that we need to maintain good health?

If someone you don’t know, who claims to be an expert, tells you that a “face covering” or mask is your first line of defense – while at the same time “experts” are telling you it does “not protect the wearer against airborne transmissible infectious agents due to loose fit and lack of seal or inadequate filtration” – do we jump on the band-wagon and go with the flow?  Or should we, first:  look, read, research for our selves and second (and most importantly):  pray and ask a loving Father in Heaven for His guidance?  Even if you do not believe in God… just ponder, hypothetically, what if there is… He Created all things and you too… is it not worth the effort to try?  If the Craftsman loves his craft and His Creations… would He not desire they all succeed?

The wearing of masks, face coverings and abidance in self-distancing is not about your health or well being by a ruling class over it’s populace.  It has everything to do with compliance to that ruling class.  It has everything to do with turning away from your Father in Heavens’ council and showing obedience to the state.  The state wants your money, not your prosperity.  It wants your ill health, for the profit of themselves and their partners; the pharmaceutical and medical industries.  It wants your property and insists upon ownership of you, the populace, as well.

God is not dead; only to those who deny Him.  To those who look not for Him, ask Him not, council with Him not and listen to Him not.  Seek and ye shall find, ask and ye shall receive.  We are His children.  He does care for each of us very deeply.  How great is His desire we might return to Him one day; and not be lead off as sheep to a slaughter.
